Introduction
The Open Payments program is a national disclosure program created by the Affordable Care Act (often referred to as the "Physician Payments Sunshine Act"). It is administered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The program promotes transparency by publicly reporting certain financial relationships between drug and medical device manufacturers and physicians and teaching hospitals.

For informational purposes, a link to the Open Payments database is provided here. The federal Physician Payments Sunshine Act requires the collection and publication of information regarding payments and transfers of value provided to physicians and teaching hospitals. You may search the public database maintained by CMS at openpaymentsdata.cms.gov.
