Mission Philosophy

For Dr. Panossian, the practice of medicine has never been confined to the walls of a single operating room. The skills he spent decades refining — microsurgery, craniofacial reconstruction, nerve repair — could transform lives far beyond Southern California.

"My skills would be wasted if I confined them only to paying patients. When you can give a child a new face, a new chance — that's not charity. That's purpose."

His humanitarian work is not separate from his clinical practice — it is an extension of it. The same precision, the same meticulous planning, the same refusal to compromise that defines his work in Pasadena travels with him to every mission site.

The successful separation not only transformed the lives of the twins and their family, but demonstrated what is possible when world-class surgical expertise is brought to the communities that need it most.
